About Us

Reducing Animal Stress, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was founded in June 2023, based on Ariela's Girl Scout Gold Award project. She started working on her Gold Award in June 2022, and it quickly became successful. In just one year, she donated over 1,200 items to around 25 different shelters and rescues. Of those items, 942 items were collected through donation drives, and 320 items were created at her workshops. After earning the Gold Award, she knew she wanted to continue helping animals. So, she turned her project into this nonprofit to expand her efforts and help more animals.

Meet the Founder

Ariela Robinson's love for animals began at an early age. She is a proud pet parent of two dogs and two cats, and she also fosters many animals. In her free time, Ariela enjoys volunteering at her local animal shelters and rescues. Her additional interests include Girl Scouts, art, photography, and baking. She has been involved in Girl Scouts since 2nd grade and has earned the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards. Her hard work has earned numerous awards, including the NSHSS 2023 Be More Fund, a recognition from the City of Los Angeles, a grant from Westside Neighborhood Council, the President's Gold Volunteer Service Award, a grant from Riley's Way, and much more. She is also featured in many news outlets, including Argonaut News, Best Friends Magazine, Animal Wellness Magazine, Girl Scout Blog, and Spectrum News.

Inspiration

Ariela was inspired to do this project because of her strong love of helping animals. Also, since she has visited animal shelters many times and has spent many hours volunteering at animal rescue groups, she noticed that the animals look sad, scared, and anxious while waiting to find a forever home. Ariela wants to help them live a happy life. Additionally, she was also inspired by my own animals, since they are amazing companions.
